Notice to the Public and Charity Commission:

IGOROT UK founded in 1995, registered as a charity on 29 September 2020 Charity no. 119528 (IGOROT UK), which goes by the Facebook name: Igo-uk Charity (profile page) and Igorot UK Charity (private group) is not affiliated with the Igorot UK Organisation, whose Facebook account is Igorot Ukorg, and any fundraising and/or activities Igorot UK Organisation pursue.

Founded in 1995, IGOROT UK is formed to promote Filipino indigenous culture in the UK through education, information, and fellowship activities.

From the mountain ranges of the Philippine Cordilleras, they spread like wildfire to find a new life away from the mud and murk of the mountain life their forbears had been in for generations. They pushed and shoved themselves with others from the lowland communities amidst the hustle and bustle of city life and cramped accommodations of the mining campsites throughout the archipelago.

The more adventurous, risk-takers, and fortunate few branched out to the world’s extremes. Some found the British Isles.
